6pm every Wednesday as I browse through my to-do-list for the day, there is that one task that is never completed “write weekly blog post”. It gets added to Thursday’s list and also makes an appearance on Friday’s and then around noon panic sets it…oh what should I write about? One might think as a blogger coming up with interesting topics within my niche every week is easy, but sometimes the mind doesn’t corporate or it seems like I’ve written about everything already.
So looking for new inspiration I went into St. John’s to run a few errands and was quite surprised that at 10am the city was buzzing with pedestrians and shoppers even though there were no cruise ships in. Sitting at a sidewalk café on Thames Street I observed that it was mostly parents and kids (well teenagers don’t think they’ll take kindly to being called kids…lol) and then it hits me some schools are closed and it’s graduation season.
(For a brief moment I had a flashback to my high school and college graduation and quickly shakes those memories…not because it wasn’t a great time…but beacause it’s a reminder of how old I am…no I’m not going to tell you my age).
