From February 28 – March 13, 2014 it will be WE vs. THEM. After four long years England returns to the Caribbean for a cricket tour for 3 ODIs in Antigua and 3 T20s in Barbados – two of the Caribbean islands with the most cricket fans. Antigua and Barbados both have colourful cricket history, playing host to many of cricket’s best games and known for some of the world’s greatest players.
The three ODI’s will be played right here in Antigua at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium on February 28, March 2 and 5. With the expectation of great matches and competition, 17 of Antigua’s cricketers who were part of the West Indies cricket team over the past 40 years will be honoured. We will also see the return of DJ Chickie the man who brought the concept of “party cricket” to Antigua back in the 1980s and the Chickie Party Stand.
